The Ceiling

No algorithms. No middlemen. Just an artist and the people who ride with them.

An independently built pitch concept.

The Ceiling interface

01The starting point

I wanted to show what a fan community could look like when an artist owns the space. So I built The Ceiling on my own as a proposal: somewhere fans could connect with the artist directly, not through a feed controlled by someone else. Raw, real, and owned by the community.

02The build

A direct-to-fan community platform, built as a pitch for an independent musician, with exclusive music drops, a fan art wall, live Q&A, and real connection between an artist and their people, without gatekeepers or algorithms.

03Current status

Built independently as a pitch concept for an independent musician's fanbase.

04Reflections

Designing for fandom is designing for identity. Fans don't just want content, they want to belong. The biggest unlock was making the platform feel like a movement, not a product. Every detail had to say 'you're one of us.'
